This new foster-based rescue rescues and rehabilitates vulnerable kitties
Most of the kitties they save are from the euthanasia list in the shelter
They also take in strays and owner surrenders and provide sanctuary and emergency medical care
They work to educate the public on altering cats to reduce the homeless kitty population
The kitties we met were in an amazing foster home, happy and healthy
10/25 Always Faithful Rescue Ranch, Sandford, NC, for vet care
Sunshine is a deaf special-needs pup waiting for her furever home at Always Faithful Ranch
Our grant helped with heartworm treatment for dogs like Charlie
Ruby and her 10 babies were helped with medical needs and alters by our grant
These are Cricket and Clancy, 2 of Ruby's babies. All have been adopted including Ruby!
10/25 H.A.R.T. Homeless Animals Rescue Team, Mesa, AZ for veterinary surgeries (including Karly!)
Karly and other kitties had big surgical bills that H.A.R.T. requested help with
This all-volunteer rescue fosters abandoned kitties and finds them homes
They also have an onsite sanctuary for medically needy cats
They have a TNR program for feral cats
They feed and water community feral cats every day
H.A.R.T. also provides community education
11/25 Dogwood Acres Senior Dog Rescue, Leesville, SC for vet surgeries and care
This all-volunteer crew rescues seniors and medically needy dogs (and some kitties) from shelters
Their mission is to have seniors spend their remaining days in a loving home
Our grant helped with vet care for the seniors that you see here

This small volunteer crew rescues needy homeless and feral kitties
They provide loving foster homes until the babies and tame cats are adopted

This tiny rescue cared for more than 260 kitties last year!
11/25 Life Savers Animal Rescue, Polson, MT, for reservation animal alter surgeries
This all-volunteer rescue saves dogs from euthanasia, and helps reservation animals where there are no city or county resources.
Typical of reservation dogs, Ruby was not altered and had 8 litters in her 4 years. Now waiting for her forever home.

Baby Hershey and his other 10 sibs were rescued from a homeless encampment. He's waiting in foster care!
Chubbs was a backyard breeder victim with a host of medical problems. Rescued the day before he was to be euthanized, he will soon be ready for adoption!
12/25 Helping Our Miniature Equines (HOME), Arlington, WA, for vet care
Sweet Ember needed emergency colic surgery. Our grant helped and she's doing great!
HOME expertly provides the specialized care needed by these tiny equines
The board and caregiving crew is 100% volunteer
This group serves the community with "therapy minis"!
12/25 Rainbow Animal Rescue, Norfolk, VA, for vet care
Our grant helped with vet bills for Charity's abdominal mass
We helped with heart worm treatments for other dogs too (Gomer is adoptable)
This rescue helps pups with medical needs

12/25 Jackson's Brush Puppy Rescue, Pearsall, TX, for vet care for lots of puppies!
TJ and 21 other puppies were provided with basic vet care from our grant!
This phenomenal new volunteer crew cares for pups in a rural community overrun with strays
In their first year, they saved 336 pups!
Baby Biscuit received testing and antibiotics
This rescue works hard to educate the community and provide low-cost alter surgeries
Holstein received testing and vaccines
12/25 Timber Tails K-9 Rescue, Oakville, WA for alter surgeries and vaccines
Queso is one of many discarded pups rescued by Timber Tails to enter the Stafford Creek Prison Training Program
These pups will get intensive training and then adopted to forever homes!
Pepper, along with the pups you see here and more, received vaccines and alter surgeries from our grant funds
This rescue also does traditional foster and adoption...Nebula is ready for a new home!
Timber Tails also has a community program to get dogs spayed free of charge to owners (this is Tamale)
Burrito has also been altered and will have a life in a loving home instead of the reservation after the prison program!
12/25 The Longears Safehouse, Estancia, NM for equine vet care
This sanctuary/rescue on 40 acres saves mules and donkeys as well as other equines, dogs and cats!
Our grant will help with vet care for Samule and friends
An all-volunteer crew provides specialized care for these deserving animals
They do community outreach as well
All have safe shelter and room to roam with their buddies
The animals are often saved from the streets or slaughter
1/26 Leeroy's Second Chance Cats, Vidor TX, for vaccines and alter surgeries

1/26 Safe Place Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, for senior dog and cat vet care and piggy vet care
This lovely sanctuary takes care of dogs, cats and farm animals
They also provide care for mama dogs with puppies
Smudge and the other seniors here will receive vet care from our grant funds
This volunteer-run group gives amazing care to all types of critters
Pixie will be spayed with our grant funds
All of the animals at SPAR can be sponsored individually to help with care

2/26 Greener Days Ahead Rescue, Mt. Vernon, AR, for vet care
Heartworm is a huge (and preventable) problem in the South. Our grant will cover treatment for Chula and others
This all-volunteer rescue saves and cares for many at-risk animals until adoption
They also make a huge impact in their rural community by providing spay and neuter services and vaccines

This tiny crew helped more than 750 animals last year!
2/26 One Dog Rescue, Riverside, IA, for maternity and puppy vet care & supplies
Pregnant June was saved from euthanasia--our grant will provide vet care and supplies for her and puppies!
We love how this little all-volunteer crew steps up to save mamas and babies like Lucy from kill shelters

2/26 Aloha Animal Sanctuary, Kaneohe, HI, for vet care and large animal care training for volunteers

This idyllic sanctuary provides care for abused, neglected and abandoned animals
Our grant will provide vet care for sanctuary residents
It will also provide veterinary training for volunteers on care of the larger animals
This all-volunteer crew also does community education with kids at schools and at the sanctuary
We love the community endeavor of teaching respect for animals to youngsters!
2/26 Freddie B's Furry Friends Rescue, Elk, WA, for vet care
Our grant will provide vet care for Belle, Aurora, and others at this all volunteer rescue
Pups are rescued as strays, surrenders, and high-risk shelter situations
All receive vet care, training and great foster care until adopted (Frosti's ready)!
This rescue also helps their rural community with vaccines, microchips, and vet care

3/26 Oly Camp Kitties, Olympia, WA, for spay and neuter surgeries
This all volunteer crew has a unique mission of providing care for kitties (and some pups) with owners who are in homeless encampments, shelters, and assisted housing communities. They provide food and basic supplies, worm and flea treatments, and spay/neuter and microchips as well as assisting with re-homing pets when needed. MJ is one of many kitties who received alter surgery, vaccines and a chip provided by our grant.
