2/25 Old Dogs, New Digs, Boulder, CO--for veterinary care

ODND rescues senior dogs and cats so they don't send their remaining years in shelters or abandoned

This all-volunteer group also provides hospice care for senior animals

They care for seniors who are healthy as well as those with significant medical needs

They work tirelessly to find perfect homes for their adoptable seniors

The dogs and cats pictured here, and others, will benefit from vet care provided by our grant funds

3/25 The Minnis Sanctuary, Bowdoin, ME, for vet care

Grandma Sidney, surrendered at age 12, now 15!  The Minnis Sanctuary loves seniors!

Our funds helped to cover Jean's hernia surgery bill and mange treatment

Abby was surrendered at 12 with medical issues, now 16!

Chubs had a foreign body removed and is now a lap dog in his foster home!

This all-volunteer rescue/sanctuary and hospice provides expert medical care

They care for livestock animals in addition to dogs and cats

3/25 Wags and Wiggles Rescue, Cumming, GA, for vet bills

Sweet, happy boy Rocky has big bills for undiagnosed kidney and blood abnormalities

Buddy needs costly orthopedic surgery, so our friends at Wags and Wiggles reached out for help with these two

Lani was homeless for years.  Now she is safe with her babies and learning to trust!  Wags and Wiggles will be helping the whole family!

3/25 The Wyatt Project, Richmond, ME for vet care

Wyatt lives with the founder who rescued him off a busy highway in TX. He 's the inspiration for the rescue

Kathy was rescued from euthanasia in TX and found to be in kidney failure.  She's getting extra love in hospice care

Molly was rescued from a very high-kill shelter in Houston and will get heartworm treatment and a loving home!

Nadine and her "sister" Caroline were brought to the vet to be euthanized because their owner had dementia.  They were malnourished

The vet called Wyatt Project and now they are safe, happy and thriving

4/25 Creature Keeper Farm and Sanctuary, Ridgefield, WA, for vet care and dog food

Creature Keeper reached out to us for help when this puppy came to them sick with parvovirus and needed emergency care

Besides vet care, they were also desperate for help with dog food for Peso, his buddies that you see here, and many more

Even a small rescue can easily use 100 lbs or more of food weekly. Thi s is why we happily help with basic supplies!

 

4/25 Dogwood Acres Senior Dog Rescue, Leeburg, SC, for heartworm preventative care

Most of the rescues that we help in the South and Midwest frequently receive heartworm positive dogs

This deadly disease can be avoided with preventative treatment.   

Our grant will help with heartworm preventative treatments for seniors!

Though preventative treatment is not inexpensive, it is much less costly and dangerous than treating a dog once infected


 

4/25 Pittsburgh Hill District Cats, Pittsburgh, PA, for vet care

Iris and other kitties will receive vet care covered by our grant

This all-volunteer rescue often takes care of older and medically-needy kitties that other rescues and shelters won't

Hill District Cats  also takes care of feral colonies, and do TNR!

4/25 Cleo's Legacy, Melbourne, KY for veterinary care

This all-volunteer  foster-based rescue reached out for help with huge vet bills for their pups

Magnolia, the pups you see here, and others will benefit from our grant for vet care

The community stepped up to double the funds with our match campaign!

The pups you see are waiting for their furrever homes (Cleo's legacy saves kitties too) 

Cleo's legacy jumps in to help animals abused, neglected, and in high-risk shelters

Mowgli is an example of their incredible work, with founder Alex waiting 11 days for him to come out of his crate (see more on World News Tonight with David Muir)

4/25 Dog Warriors Rescue, Wendell, NC, for veterinary care

Max had a ton of health issues that our grant funds helped with and will make a wonderful family member

This scruffball is the longest foster resident waiting for his home

Our grant also helped cuddly Zeus who is waiting for his furever home

Dog Warriors Rescue saved this sweet senior who was left in a shelter

Loving Gertie was shot and dumped out of a car, then rescued from a high-killl shelter by Warrior Dogs

5/25 Saving Pets One at A Time, Burlington, WA, for low income spay and neuter assistance

Our wonderful, local, all-volunteer rescue has all of these cuties waiting for new homes!

5/25 One Dog Rescue, Riverside IA, for vet care

Grover is one of many pawesome adoptables at One Dog Rescue

This rescue takes dogs from southern kill shelters

They don't shy away from medically needy dogs

Their rescues live in loving foster homes until adopted

5/25 Conquer the Colony, Pittsburgh, PA, for vet care

Pals4Paws' grant will help with vet bills including FIP treatment for Darling, Lovey and Chairry

This all-volunteer rescue works day and night to help with cat overpopulation in their area with their TNR program

They also foster and adopt out tame cats and kittens, and care for medically needy kitties like Chairry

Mac is one of their gorgeous dudes looking for his furever home!

Lots of babies rescued from feral mamas will benefit from vet care and and be adopted

6/25 Miracle Lane Farm & Sanctuary, Vassalboro, ME, for vet care

This all-volunteer rescue focuses on all kinds of dogs, including those with medical or hospice needs

They also care for some  kitties, and even a few goats and pigs!

They also offer dogs sanctuary and hospice care

These pups are all waiting for forever homes!

 

6/25 Caring Hearts for Paws, Olympia, WA, for vet care

GRETA NOW!

Caring Hearts for Paws reached out for help with the heartbreaking case of a heavily pregnant mama pitta who had a leg injury and what appeared to be trauma from being kicked.  Due to the trauma suffered at human hands, Greta needed an emergency C-section and blood transfusion.  She lost all 11 of her puppies due to the ensuing toxemia.  Greta much better and enjoying love and playtime!

Caring Hearts 4 Paws took Greta in and has nurtured her.  Today she is thriving and playing!  What a resilient survivor! Our grant helped with her enormous vet bills.  

6/25 Humane Animal Rescue Partners (HARP) of WA, Yelm, WA for spay and neuter surgeries

This tiny, rural, all-volunteer rescue cares for hundreds of cats and kittens every year

Our grant will provide spay and neuter surgeries for many of them

Besides foster and adoption, this rescue cares for kitty colonies

They provide public education, and sanctuary and hospice

6/25 PAWS Feline Rescue, Continental, OH, for vet bills, alter surgeries and facility improvement

This small, all-volunteer rescue does so much for community kitties including alter surgeries!

Little Lupin was thrown out of a window and the rescue requested our help with his big vet bills from those injuries (a PAWS "Angel Kitty")

Sweet Pixie was hit by a car.  Our grant covered her surgical care (Pixie and Lupin are doing well!)

This small rescue also helps feral kitties, and are developing programs for at-risk youth and local prison inmates!

7/25 Pronking Pastures Rescue and Sanctuary, Huson, MT- for vet bills for Gregory (now Fidget) who had deadly injuries after being hit by a car

This sweet Dane mix pup crawled into one of the founder's laps at the vet despite severe injuries

Pronking Pastures knew that they had to give him a chance, but his vet bills were enormous

The rescue paid for his bills on credit, hoping not to sacrifice the care of other animals or basic needs

This fighter recovered and is living the good life (here with his new sister)

7/25 Friends of Ferals, St. Port Neches, TX--for vaccines, vetting an alter surgeries for lots of kittens! (Cuteness sample below)!

This all-volunteer rescue takes care of many needy street kitties

They also do TNR for ferals

Vaccines are ultra-important in their mission to help street cats

All of these kittens and so many more are being lovingly cared for and waiting for adoption

7/25 CH Lives Matter Rescue, Palm Bay, FL, for basic kitty care supplies

This all-volunteer rescue specializes in caring for kitties with CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia)

These kitties have varying degrees of coordination difficulties and other special needs

Many of them are adoptable (including those you see here)!  They can lead happy, healthy lives

Because of the medical needs of their kitties, this rescue uses lots of extra supplies, and reached out to us for help
